Shauna Niequist always writes about how the table creates sacred space for opportunities to show people you love them.
The table is a place for french toast and coffee and prayer and hard discussions and laughing and studying all in one– good things, wonderful things, hard things, all of it. The table, this table in particular, was sacred this weekend. It was a place of intentional rest, a place of prayer, a place of talking about hard things, even a place of learning about the cervical spine. All of it. Tables make space for food and books but also for conversations and feelings and thoughts in all. Grateful for that right now.
