Kilkenny’s with Kate and Lill, drinking siren and dancing.
Listening to Ben play at the brewery, and sitting with Lill, getting excited when he plays my favorites.
Coffee dates with Cole at Brew after an afternoon of Christmas shopping.
And coffee dates with my mom in the middle of last-minute shopping (on the 23rd) and present-wrapping.
Taking Helen to a sing-along and quote-along of Elf at the State Theater. Son of a nutcracker! I’m sorry I jammed 11 cookies into the VCR.
Family Christmas Party
Jingle Bell Run Tradition, red lips and bows and bells.
Sweater party with the guhls.
So much reading by my magical little tree. Reading The Shack (gift from Jess), the Advent book from my pastor, and spending some time in the beginning of the gospels for the beginning of Jesus’ story, starting with John the Baptist. I love my tree with the pink ornaments even though I don’t even like pink. My mom got me this tree, and added ornaments and a bow on top. And I seem to have accumulated an angel ornament from Jackie’s mom, and a couple Hope College ornaments too. Special, so special.
More Kilkenny’s with Lill and Kate
Christmas Eve Service at Westside with Katy and my mom.
Coffee-with-baileys in between Westside service and Christmas Eve mass at the Brew.
Magical Christmas Eve. Bowls and bowls of chili, glasses and glasses of red wine. We spent majority of the evening in the living room. Cameron was playing piano by ear, the fireplace was on, the tree lights were sparkling. My heart was so full.
